ASEAN Super 8 Rescheduled to 20 – 22 Oct 2020

Revised Event Dates to Provide Better Opportunities to the Industry in Light of COVID-19

ASEAN Super 8 will be rescheduled from 20 – 22 October 2020, and it will be held in Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

ASEAN Super 8 consists of different trade shows including ASEAN M&E, REVAC Expo, TENAGA Expo, ASEAN Solar, ASEAN Light, ASEAN Lift, Futurebuild SEA, Heavy Mach and IFSEC Southeast Asia.

The decision to rescheduled ASEAN Super 8, which was originally scheduled from 23 to 25 June 2020, is taken with regret after careful consideration and close consultations with the key stakeholders, exhibitors and industry partners due to recent and increasing travel restrictions impacting industry participation and new travel measures enacted by the Malaysia government in light of the COVID-19 situation.

This is a challenging time for all of us and believe that the built environment industry will continue to prosper. We sincerely hope that all exhibitors would unite and support the new dates which have been taken from commercial considerations and in your interest. We will continue to work closely with all participants to ensure the success of the show in October.

Informa Markets assures that it will take all necessary precautionary measures at the exhibition venue to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants. At the same time, the organiser will closely monitor the development of the COVID-19 issue and adhere to government’s instruction, make appropriate and necessary adjustment to the exhibition, if needed.  Measures in place include;

  • Increased cleaning and disinfection programme across all high-volume touchpoints, e.g. catering areas, surfaces, handrails, washrooms, entrances/exits, public touch-screens, etc.
  • Increased onsite medical support
  • Disinfection Kiosk at All Entrances
  • Awareness campaign via online and onsite info-share and signage
  • Availability of sanitising and disinfection materials for public use as well as temperature screening at entrance
  • Awareness and training to all staff and associates on standard personal preventative measures, e.g. personal hygiene, frequency of use of sanitising/disinfection products, etc.
  • Advice to exhibitors on implementing effective cleaning and disinfection of stands, offices along with guidance on personal hygiene measures and common preventive behaviour

We will closely monitor the development of the issue and adhere to government’s instruction, make appropriate and necessary adjustment to the exhibition if necessary.
